JEE Main is one of the toughest Engineering entrance exams that every student dreams to crack to take admission in the most prestigious college of the country. Syllabus for Paper-2 (B. Arch/ B.Planning) – Aptitude Test

Part I

  • Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials, Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings, Visualising, Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal), etc.

Part II

  • Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, color texture, harmony and contrast, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms, etc.

Preparation tips

  • Go through the prescribed syllabus and based on that divide your time and give equal importance to each subject.
  • Go through NCERT books to clear your basic concepts
  • Solving last year papers and mock tests is very important. Through mock tests, you can easily analyze your performance and know your strengths and weak areas
  • Make notes of your problems and discuss it with your tutors or teachers
  • Take short breaks in between your study sessions to freshen up your mind
  • Eat a healthy diet so that you don’t fall sick
