IIT JEE Main 2015 Analysis:-

Difficulty Level: – The question paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level as compared to previous year. More emphasis was given on conceptual clarity and it has a good mix of Numerical and Theoretical questions across all the subject. Physics part is difficult as compared to Chemistry and Mathematics.

Maximum Focus:- The question of all the subjects Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics asked in JEE Main 2015 is from all the topics so it can’t be said that any particular topics carries majority of marks.

Expected Cut Off: – The expected Cut Off marks for IIT JEE Advanced 2015 is 120-125 for General Category. For Other Backward Classes (OBC) the cut off is expected to be around 74. For Scheduled Cast (SC) category the cut off is expected to be 53 while for Scheduled Tribe it is expected to be around 47. The cut off will be high as compared to last year because the overall difficulty level of question paper is moderate.

In 2012, CBSE decided for a common exam i.e. JEE Main in place of AIEEE and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted by CBSE for the admission in different CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute), NIT’s (National Institute of Technology) whereas JEE Advanced is conducted by IIT Kharagpur.

Selection of candidates in 2015 are on the basis of all India ranks calculated with the JEE Main score and normalised marks of class 12 in the ratio 60:40. 1.5 lakhs of students will be selected on the basis of cut off for IIT JEE Advanced 2015 which is going to conduct by IIT Kharagpur on May 24, 2015.
